North East Fashion Week concludes with a theme of Shelter for Animals

Speaking about the event, the famous designer Prasantt Ghosh said, “the theme of the event is fashion for all, it has a platform for everyone. This is organized to upgrade the North east fashion industry”.

Guwahati witnessed a unique fashion extravaganza featuring prominent choreographers and models of the country. The show highlighted new trends of the industry as well as the traditional heritage of the country.

Ace fashion exponent, Prasantt Ghosh, who was the organizer of the 5th season of the unique fashion event, “North East Fashion Week” on 28th and 29th of January at Silpagram, Panjabari, Guwahati, expressed that its main theme this year was ‘Fashion for All’. This year the message of the event was ‘Shelter for animals.’

The show was inaugurated by Dr. Sukamal Deb, DY Chief Executive Officer (NEZ), incharge of Khadi village industries commission, as the chief guest on the occasion. Col Niraj Bakshi, Co7 Assam BN NCC, Dhubri, Mr Alok Sarkar, CEO of Ajitaksh ventures and Monoj Das, sufalam streets attended the programme as special guests of the programme.

The event is North east India’s 1st platform created in 2015 for tomorrow’s fashion, accessories and jewellery designers to showcase their talent. Since its inception, the event is associated with various social theme.

PETA was a part of it in the first season. Women empowerment, eye donation, supports old age people were part of the previous social themes.

There are more than 1 lakh street dogs living in Guwahati. This event’s cause is aimed to help the shelterless dogs and animals by providing them the essential elements.
